Women's Tennis Defeats Hawaii, 9-0

Sophomore Cynthia Tow won a three-set match at first singles and her teammates all gained two-set victories as Boston College gained a 9-0 victory over the University of Hawaii in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Tow defeated UH's Nina Wenger, 6-3, 1-6, 7-5. Meanwhile, junior Barbara Privrel (second singles), sophomore Kiren Fernando (third singles), junior Mercedes del Valle (fourth singles), junior Kim Arbuckle (fifth singles) and freshman Ruta Veitas (sixth singles) won in straight sets.
In doubles action, Tow and Privrel defeated Suzie Saunders and Lynn Novack, 8-6. Fernando and del Valle won, 8-0. Arbuckle and Veitas won, 8-2.
Boston College returns to action on Tuesday, March 2 against the University of Wyoming. The match will be played at the Turtle Bay Hilton (Kahuku, Hawaii).
