Women's Tennis Defeats Brown, 5-4

Sophomore Cynthia Tow won her third consecutive match at first singles to lead the Eagles to a 5-4 victory over Brown University in Providence, R.I.
The Eagles won four of the six singles matches. Tow (6-2, 6-1) and junior Barbara Privrel (6-4, 6-3) needed just two sets to claim their victories. Juniors Mercedes del Valle (2-6, 6-4, 6-4) and Kim Arbuckle (6-0, 3-6, 7-6) were forced to third sets in their singles matches, before claiming victory.
The Eagles' lone doubles victory was achieved by Privrel and del Valle (9-7) in second doubles.
Boston College returns to action on October 4 at Boston University.
