Women's Swimming wins over Niagara

CHESTNUT HILL, MA - In their second home meet of the season, the Boston College womens swimming team defeated Niagara 87-53. The meet was actually a tri-meet with Providence, Niagara and the Eagles. Boston College increased its record to 4-2 on the season.
Boston College head coach Tom Groden named freshman Hannah Temple (Chatham, NJ) the Eagles Outstanding Performer for her win in the 200 yard backstroke (2:18.59). Temple also placed second in the 100 yard backstroke (1:05.87), less than a second behind her classmate, Erica Lanzafame (Oneida, NY) who won the race with a time of 1:04.93.
Sophomore Erica Allen (Los Gatos, CA) had the Eagles Outstanding Performance for her second place finish in the 200 yard butterfly (2:17.89).
The Eagles next meet, against New Hampshire on November 23, closes out the fall season for the team.
