Women's Swimming wins in California

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA - The Boston College womens swimming team stopped in California on its way back from training in Hawaii for a meet versus Cal-Poly San-Luis Obispo. The Eagles won the meet 163-119, increasing their record to 6-2 overall.
Boston College was led by junior Kara Glynn (Branford, CT), who was named the Eagles Outstanding Swimmer by head coach Tom Groden after winning both the 500 yard freestlyle (5:13.64) and the 1000 yard freestyle (10:33.72).
Groden gave the Eagles top performance to freshman Erin Lanzafame (Onieda, NY) for her effort in the 200 yard backstroke, which she won with a time of 2:13.12. Lanzafame one of seven Boston College individuals who captured first place finishes in the meet.
The Eagles now head back home to Boston, where they will face Massachusetts on January 19 before their first home meet of the semester on January 23, when they will face the University of Rhode Island.
