CAIMBRIDGE, MA -- The Boston Collge womens swimming team had its eight meet winning streak snapped when the Eagles fell to Harvard, losing 195-86. Boston College fell to 9-3 overall.
Despite the loss, the Eagles had some impressive performances. Freshman Alexis Kostopoulous (Marblehead, MA) placed second in the 200-yard breastroke (2:24.58), yet the time captured the new school record. The only two Eagles to capture first place finishes were freshman Brianne Sullivan (Staten Island, NY) in the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.70) and freshman Lauren Schwartz (Mt. Laurel, NJ), who won the 200-yard butterfly (2:07.40).
The Eagles are hoping to get back on the winning track when they face the Black Bears of Maine on January 30 in a home meet.
