Women's Swimming Defeats Army 176-124

WEST POINT, NY -- The Boston College womens swimming team captured its third win of the season with a 176-124 win over Army. Freshman Kim Rinaldi (West Boylston, MA) sealed the victory for the Eagles by winning the three meter diving event (254.31 points)
Freshman Lauren Schwartz (Mt. Laurel, NJ) was named the Eagles top performer by head coach Tom Groden for her effort in capturing first place in both the 100 yard butterfly (58.64) and the 200 yard butterfly (2:07.69). Sophomore Erica Allen (Los Gatos, CA) received Outstanding Performance honors for her win in the 200 yard backstroke (2:11.59)
Boston College won nine of the 16 events. Freshman Alexis Kostopolous (Marblehead, MA) finished first in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:10.16) and second in the 100 yard freestyle (55.08). The Eagles captured the top three spots in the 200 m backstroke and the top four spots in the 100 yard butterfly.
Boston College returns home for its second home meet of the season. The Eagles face both Niagara and Providence.
