Men's Swimming Defeats Holy Cross

WORCHESTER, MA -- The Boston College mens swimming team finished the semester in winning fashion with a 153-88 win over Holy Cross. The win improved the Eagles overall record to 4-1.
Eagle head coach Tom Groden named sophomore diver Mike Wilt (Columbia, CT) the Boston Collge Oustanding Performer for his two wins in both the one-meter dive and the three-meter dive. Wilt was the only Boston College performer to capture two wins in the meet.
Groden named junior Greg Dwyer (Rochelle Park, NJ) with the top performance with his win in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:36.07). Dwyer won the second event of the meet, helping the Eagles get off to a strong start. Boston College ended up winning 11 of the meets 13 events.
Boston College will now head off too Hawaii to train for the upcoming spring schedule, when the Eagles will face tough non-conference foes Cal Poly, Rhode Island, Boston University, Maine and Howard as well as their rivals in the BIG EAST.
