BC's Graham Earns All-American Honors in Mile

Senior Angie Graham (Pickering, Ontario/Dunbarton) earned All-America honors with a second-place finish at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Indianapolis, Ind. on March 14. She finished with a time of 4:39.62. Her placing represents the highest finish ever by a Boston College female track athlete.
Graham's accomplishment was her seventh All-America honor. She now has six in track & field, and one in cross-country.
Graham, a Pickering, Ontario native, holds four school records - three individual and one relay. A three-time New England champion in the mile, Graham established the school record in the 1000 meters (2:48.89) at the 1995 New England Indoor Championships. Last year, Graham set the school record in the mile (4:37.52) at the 1997 NCAA Indoor Championships.
Graham has also excelled in cross-country and outdoor track. She earned All-America honors at the 1997 NCAA Cross-Country Championships with a third-place finish, the highest ever by a Boston College runner. At the 1997 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Graham attained All-America honors with a fifth-place finish in the 3000 meters in a school-record time of 9:14.39.
