Four Eagles Named ITA Scholar-Athletes

Jeffrey Melvin earns his fourth consecutive ITA Scholar-Athlete honor.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Tuesday that four student-athletes from the Boston College men's tennis program have been named ITA Scholar-Athletes.

Derek Austin, Peter Campana, Gereon Heitmann and Jeffrey Melvin. This is the fourth consecutive year that the recently graduated Melvin was tabbed as an ITA Scholar-Athlete. Additionally, this is the second overall honor for Campana and the second consecutive for Austin.

To receive consideration, student-athletes must be a letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters (including freshman through senior year).
