
Alison Foley Adds Sammy Boateng To Staff

Sammy Boeteng joins BC Women's Soccer Program
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Sammy Boateng will join the Boston College women's soccer staff as an assistant coach as announced by head coach Alison Foley today.
Boateng arrives at the Heights after serving as an assistant women's soccer coach at New Hampshire since 2015. He helped UNH win the 2016 America East regular season championship and was named America East Co-Coaching Staff of the Year in 2017.
"Sammy's relentless work rate and passion for the game made him a perfect addition to our staff. He was instrumental in the major improvements for the UNH soccer program while on staff,'' said BC Head Coach Alison Foley. "His philosophies are in alignment with Boston College and he has the expertise and desire for success and championships."
Prior to joining New Hampshire, Boateng was an assistant coach at his alma mater Marshall University for the men's program for one season.
A native of Accra, Ghana, Boateng is a head coach for the Boston Breakers North Shore girls team. He has his USSF C coaching license as well as a NSCAA National Diploma, NSCAA Goalkeeper Level 1 & 2 Diplomas and was an NSCAA 2017 30 Under 30 award recipient.
Boateng's played four years at Marshall University. A forward, Boateng was an All-Conference USA third-team honoree in 2010 and an All-Freshman Team selection in 2008. A two-time team captain, Boateng was a four-time USA Commissioner's Honor Roll recipient.
He graduated from Marshall with a degree in biology in 2011 and earned his master's in healthcare administration in 2015.
