Asiya Dair Named to 2018 All-ACC Academic Team

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Senior Asiya Dair has earned a spot on the All-ACC Academic Team for the third consecutive year, as announced today by the Atlantic Coast Conference.

A native of Almaty, Kazakhstan, Dair won two of her last three matches this season. Earlier this spring, Dair earned her fourth consecutive All-ACC Third Team spot and was named the 2018 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Region Division I Senior Player of the Year. She was the Eagles No. 1 player and in her final regular season home match, she upset Wake Forest's Emma Davis, who was ranked 27^th in the nation.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career for undergraduate students. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team. Overall, this is the women's program's eighth academic all-conference honor.
