BC HIGHLIGHTS
- On the first pitch of the game, Jake Palomaki recorded his 201st career hit and his BC-record 375th time reaching base.
- Up the middle, Palomaki and Brian Dempsey combined for inning-ending 6-4-3 double plays in the first and fourth innings.
- After Palomaki moved into scoring position on an errant pick-off attempt, Dempsey drove him in with a two-out single to left-center that gave BC a first-inning lead.
- Joe Suozzi reached on a two-base error to start the second inning and was driven in from third on a squeeze bunt-single by Jake Alu, but it was the prior at-bat, a groundout by Dante Baldelli, that made the run possible.
- Miami got its first run of the inning on a leadoff-home run in the second by Reyes.
- The Hurricanes rallied for three runs on three hits to tie and take the lead in the sixth. Willy Escala hit a leadoff-double and scored the tying run, while Romy Gonzalez hit a go-ahead, RBI-double.
- The Eagles got two singles to put runners on the corners, down by one, in the eighth, but the Miami bullpen escaped unscathed; leaving the bases loaded.
- Palomaki picked up his 17th multi-hit game of the season and Gian Martellini added his 10th of the year.
- Palomaki and Baldelli, who swiped two bags, each pushed their season total to 19 stolen bases; tying for fourth all-time in the BC record book.
- Metzdorf pitched his sixth game of six innings or more and fifth of seven innings of more this season.
- Chris Galland's BC season-high reached base streak came to an end at 23 games.
