
Burke Qualifies for NCAA East Region

Three-time NCAA qualifier will compete in the 5000m
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College junior Sean Burke has qualified for the 2018 NCAA Division I Men's Track and Field East Preliminary, set for May 24-26 at USF Track & Field Stadium in Tampa. Burke will run the 5000m in Tampa.

It marks the third time in Burke's career he has qualified for the NCAAs. He participated in the NCAA Cross Country finals in 2016 while qualifying for the 10000m last year.

Burke posted the sixth-best 5000m in school history at the 2018 Penn Relays (14:12.92) and owns the third-fastest 10000m in Boston College history after finishing in 29:37.01 at the Stanford Invitational in 2017.

Burke's twin brother Colin will be competing in the NCAA Men's Track and Field West Preliminary as well.
