
Cavaliere and Second Varsity Eight Boat Named Eagles of the Week

These Eagles had outstanding performances over the weekend
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston college sophomore golfer Christian Cavaliere and the women's rowing second varsity eight boat have been named Nissan Eagles of the Week for their outstanding performances over the week.
Cavaliere was the individual medalist at the Clemson Invitational, firing a 6-under total of 210 for the tournament at The Cliffs at Keowee Falls in Salem, S.C. The Katonah, N.Y. native closed out the championship on Saturday with a 1-under 71, posting four birdies during his final round. He was the tournament leader in par 4 scoring, averaging 3.83 strokes per hole and he played the par 4 holes to 4-under par for the entire weekend. The sophomore was fourth among the field in par 5 scoring (-5, 4.67 avg.). His strong performance helped lead the Eagles to a team title at the invitational.
The second varsity eight took first place in the Knecht Cup on Saturday, April 14. The second varsity eight team was comprised of the following rowers:

The team came from behind to beat Pennsylvania, winning by .04 seconds in a photo finish. They shaved 11 seconds off their Heat 1 time to place first in the Grand Final.
The men's golf team returns to action when it participates in the ACC Championships in New London, N.C. beginning on Friday, April 20. The rowing team looks for another strong performance at the Resolute Cup in Boston, Mass. on Saturday, April 21.
