Scouting the Opponent:

- The Eagles participate in their third ACC series of the 2018 campaign when they travel to Syracuse, N.Y. to take on the Orange.
- BC has a 10-9 overall record vs. Cuse. The Maroon and Gold have won the last five meetings between the two teams. Historically, the Eagles have a 5-4 record when they play in N.Y. Â
- In a three-game series, BC has swept the Orange once in program history in 2016.
- The last two meetings between the teams went into eight innings. BC won both games, 2-1. The Eagles are 3-8 in one-run games this season.
- Heading into the weekend, Syracuse is right behind BC in the ACC Atlantic standings with a 4-5 conference record.
- The Orange have faced three ranked opponents this season, including ACC rival Florida State, but have yet to log a win.
- Syracuse has two batters batting above .300, including Bryce Holmgren (.434) and Alicia Hansen (.313).
- Alexa Romero has the most appearances from the mound for the Orange and has posted a 1.59 ERA while recording a team-leading 11 wins.
- Cuse is fourth in the league with a team ERA of 2.31.
What's Going on with the Eagles:
- As of March 28 senior Jessica Dreswick is second in the ACC in games started with 19. She is fifth in innings pitched (114.2), tied for fifth in appearances (24)and tied for fifth in complete games with nine. The right-hander is also eighth in opponent batting average (.207).
- Dreswick is sixth in the ACC with 108 strikeouts and 47th in the nation. She is also ninth in strikeouts looking (23). In BC's game vs. Texas State on Feb. 12, Dreswick threw a career-high 11 strikeouts - a feat she matched when she struck out 11 batters again versus CCSU on Feb. 25. With 10 K's recorded in the win over No. 18 Ole Miss. Dreswick has thrown double digits in strikeouts in three games so far this season.
- On March 23 vs. Virginia, Dreswick threw five perfect innings as BC run-ruled the Cavaliers, 8-0. The perfect game is believed to be the first in ACC program history.
- Entering the sixth week of the season, senior Chloe Sharabba leads the team with 19 runs and 33 hits, including eight doubles and two home runs. She has also picked up 11 RBIs and drawn 14 walks, resulting in a .443 on base percentage and a .538 slugging percentage.
- Sharabba started the 2018 season on a 16-game hitting streak, dating back to last season. The senior has collected a hit in 21 of the 28 games this season and has reached base safely in all but three games. The shortstop is ninth in the ACC with a .363 batting average.
- Redshirt junior Allyson Frei threw a total of 405 pitches over 24.1 innings pitched against FIU in the FIU Classic. She currently holds a 1.96 ERA, which is good for seventh in the conference.
- Senior Annie Murphy leads the conference as the toughest to strikeout. She is 34th in the nation at 29.3 in the category.
- Freshman CC Cook picked up the first ACC honor of the year for BC and the first of her collegiate career when she was named ACC Player of the Week last week following her performance against Virginia. The rookie batted a perfect seven-for-seven from the plate, including two triples. She is the first freshman to receive player of the week honors since 2011.
- BC is currently 23rd in the nation in triples per game with 0.32.
- Junior Lexi DiEmmanuele leads the team in stolen bases with 11, which is third in the ACC.
