Senior Emma Schurr sparked 11 unanswered goals in the first half
NEWTON, Mass. – The Boston College lacrosse team notched their seventh straight win over Binghamton, 14-2, Friday afternoon for their last home game before spring break.
The Eagles (7-0, 1-0) came out on fire, scoring the first 11 goals of the half, while the Bearcats (3-2, 0-0) had one to close the first. Scoring was sparce in the second frame – the Eagles scored thrice and the Bearcats added another point.
Junior goalkeeper Lauren Daly had six saves in the win and, with the assistance of the defense, held Binghamton to only two goals.

- Senior Carly Bell matched her career high with four ground balls.
- This is the second time this season that the BC defense has held its to only two goals. The last was Feb. 13 against Holy Cross.
TURNING POINT
- Senior Emma Schurr scored the first goal of the game, which was followed by 10 other unanswered Eagles goals, giving BC a commanding lead which they kept for the entirety of the game.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- E. Schurr opened up scoring and sparked an 11-0 run, which the Eagles rode into halftime.
- The first goal of the second period came with 16:53 to play from Chandler.
- Binghamton could only manage a goal per period and fell, 14-2.
