Eagles-Jackets Tip Off at 7 in Atlanta
Boston College will travel to Atlanta to play Georgia Tech on Thursday at 7 p.m. Fans can view the game on ACC Network.

The Eagles are coming off a tough road loss to NC State on Sunday, 72-54, despite a 21 point-7 rebound effort from sophomore Georgia Pineau and 18 points from second-year guard Taylor Ortlepp.

A 29-point third quarter hurt the Eagles after the two teams battled through a 25-25 first half. Ortlepp had 14 of her 18 in the first half. Pineau came alive in the second half and kept the Eagles in the game with 19 of her 21 points. BC was without sophomore forward Emma Guy in the game.

Georgia Tech is coming off a 60-48 victory over Clemson on the road on Sunday. Francesca Pan led the Jackets with 17 points while the team shot 46.2 percent from the floor. The win stopped a three-game losing streak by Tech.

The Jackets are led by Francesca Pan offensively as she is averaging 30 minutes a game and 13.2 points per game. Zaire O'Neil is averaging 10.7 points and 5.5 rebounds a game for Tech.Â

- Last year the two teams played twice with Georgia Tech winning both games. During the regular season, BC lost at Conte Forum, 71-67, as Kelly Hughes had 15 points and Emma Guy pitched in with 11 points off the bench.
- In the second meeting at the ACC Tournament, Boston College lost, 71-67. BC shot 45 percent from the floor and had largest lead was six points in the first quarter. The two teams exchanged the lead eight times in the game but a 9-3 run halted any thoughts of a comeback win for BC.Â

- Sophomore forward Georgia Pineau is 13th in field goal percentage at 50.5 in the ACC. She is 10th in rebounding vs. conference teams with a 7.5 average. Against ACC teams only, Taylor Ortlepp is shooting 84.4 percent from the foul line, good for fourth overall.
- Senior Martina Mosetti is just eight assists away from 300 career helpers. She is currently 12th on the all-time list.
- Rookie Milan Bolden-Morris, who leads BC in scoring with a 12.3 ppg., is just nine points from 300. She is currently the second highest scoring freshman in the ACC.
- In the last three games, BC averaged 56.7 points a game while opponents averaged 71.3 points. BC also lost the battle of the boards, 124-73.

- Carolyn Swords '11 is currently playing for Gorzow Wlkp in Poland. She averages 15.3 points and 9.5 rebounds a game. Swords, a native of Sudbury, just signed as a free agent with the Las Vegas Aces, the new team in the WNBA. She will be reunited with her former coach Bill Lambeer, who she played for in New York.
- The Boston College women's basketball team will host Pittsburgh in the annual Play4Kay game on Sunday at Conte Forum at 1 p.m.
- Any fan wearing pink to the game can purchase $4 dollar tickets at the box office. Offer only valid box office on day of game.
- First 500 fans will receive a pink BC rally towel.
- The team will wear a Play4Kay black Under Armour shooting shirt, pink Under Armour sneakers and new UA gray and pink uniforms.
