Ortlepp's 23 Points Not Enough Against UNC
February 28, 2018 | Women's Basketball
Eagles fall to Carolina, 69-64, in first round of the ACC Tournament.
Sophomore Taylor Ortlepp had 23 points and matched her career-high with seven three-pointers, but it was not enough as Boston College lost to North Carolina, 69-64, in the first round of the ACC Tournament on Thursday at Greensboro Coliseum.
Ortlepp hit four three-pointers in the second quarter to cut the North Carolina lead at the half to 31-28.
The second-year guard player made three more three-pointers in the second half, including one to start the fourth quarter which cut the Carolina lead to just two points. The Tar Heels then reeled off 10 consecutive points and the Eagles had to claw back. The closest BC would get was three points when Andie Anastos hit a layup with 28 seconds to play.
