
Robertson and Duca Named Eagles of the Week

Both student-athletes qualified for the NCAA Championships in their respective sports
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College senior Carter Robertson of the ski team and junior Paige Duca of the women's track and field team have been tabbed Nissan Eagles of the Week following their performances last week.
Robertson finished 22nd in the giant slalom at the Middlebury Snow Bowl in Hancock, Vt. and he placed 49th in the slalom. His performances have qualified him for the NCAA Championships, hosted by the University of Colorado. The senior is the first BC skier in modern history to qualify for the NCAAs. The York, Maine native will race against the 34 best collegiate skiers in the country.
Duca earned All-ACC Honors for her third place finish in the one mile run at the ACC Championships on Feb. 24 in Clemson, S.C. The junior crossed the line in 4:44.34 to earn a bronze medal.
Her performance in the mile this indoor season has earned Duca a spot to compete in the one mile run at the 2018 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships, as announced by the NCAA yesterday evening. The Rockville Center, N.Y. native is one of 16 women nationally to be selected and she is the first BC women's track and field athlete to qualify for the mile since school record holder Jillian King in 2014.
Robertson is back in action at the giant slalom championships races on Wednesday, March 7 and the slalom races on Friday, March 9 in Steamboat Springs, Colo. Duca will compete in the NCAA Championships on Friday, March 9 and Saturday, March 10 in College Station, Texas.
