
Lohan Tabbed Hockey East Player of the Week

In his final two regular season games as an Eagle, graduate transfer Kevin Lohan accounted for two goals and two assists in a weekend sweep against Maine
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Graduate transfer Kevin Lohan collected Boston College's second Hockey East Player of the Week distinction on Monday morning after a breakout weekend in the Eagles' final two regular season games at Kelley Rink.
The Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y. native scored his first goal as in Eagle in his 18th outing in the maroon and gold against Maine on Feb. 23 at 6:07 of the second period. The defenseman followed it with another tally at 14:25 of the second for a two-goal showing 8:18 minutes apart.
The 6-foot-5 rearguard scored his last goal against Renesselaer on Jan. 16, 2015 when he played for the University of Michigan. It marked the his first goal in 1,134 days. The veteran followed that up with an assist on Casey Carreau's first-career goal, marking Lohan's first-ever three-point performance at the collegiate level on Friday night.
In the regular season finale on Saturday night against Maine, Lohan assisted on David Cotton's first goal of the game to bring his point total to eight (2-6-8) as an Eagle. It marked the second time he had assisted in back-to-back to games for BC and has accounted for four points (2-2-4) in his last two outings.
Lohan joins Hockey East Rookie of the Week - Cayden Primeau (Northeastern) and Defensive Player of the Week Matt Murray (Massachusetts) as this week's conference award winners.

Monday's award marks Lohan's first conference honor this season and seventh, overall, for Boston College.
