Hutsko Tabbed HEA Co-Rookie of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - First-year forward Logan Hutsko was named Hockey East Co-Rookie of the Week after his heroic efforts on Feb. 9 at home against UMass Lowell. The Tampa, Fla. native posted his second-career two-goal performance, scoring the game-tying goal early in the third period and dashing the River Hawks' hopes of a point with the overtime winner with only 6.8 seconds left on the clock.

With Hutsko's goals, Boston College earned its second overtime win of the season and first since the Eagles came back and erased a three-goal deficit at Providence way back on October 15, 2017.

It marked Hutsko's second multi-goal showing since scoring a pair, with an assist, at Vermont on Nov. 10, 2017.

The rookie winger is now tied for third on the team in scoring (7-12-19) and ranks 31st amongst all rookies in scoring, nationally, averaging 0.66 points per game.

Hutsko's Hockey East award marks Boston College's fifth of the season. He joins Hockey East Player of the Week Matt Murray (Massachusetts), Co-Rookie of the Week John Leonard (Massachusetts) and HEA Defensive Player of the Week Tanner Creel (UConn).
