A 15-3 run midway through the first half put the Orange up for good as Boston College dropped an 81-63 decision at the Carrier Dome on Wednesday night.
The Eagles started off the game hot, connecting on five straight field goals - including four from beyond the arc, en route to taking a 14-7 lead less than four minutes into the game. Syracuse would respond with seven unanswered points to tie it at 14-14. Â
There were four lead changes and two ties over the next six minutes before the Orange made their run, taking as much as a 14-point lead.
Ky Bowman began the second half with a 3-pointer, cutting it to seven - 47-40 - before an 11-0 Orange run pushed their lead to 18 points - 58-40Â - with 15:12 to play.
