Sophomore Emma Guy leads BC with 14 points, 15 rebounds
CLEMSON, South Carolina – Despite a double-double from sophomore Emma Guy, who finished with 14 points and 15 rebounds, Boston College fell to Clemson, 65-61, in double-overtime at Littlejohn Coliseum on Thursday night.

After the two teams battled to a 47-47 in regulation, BC tied the first overtime with a half hook by Emma Guy with 16.3 to play. In the second overtime, BC took a 61-57 lead behind two three-pointers by Taylor Ortlepp and a mid-range jumper from Milan Bolden-Morris.

Clemson took control of the second overtime as on five straight points to go up 63-61 with 1:31 to play. BC had four turnovers in the Clemson run.

How It Happened
- BC and Clemson were tied after the first quarter, 14-14. The Eagles were led by Emma Guy with six points and Milan Bolden-Morris with two three-pointers for six points.
- Clemson opened the second quarter on an 11-2 running to take a 25-16 lead with 3:09 left. The Tigers were 5-for-10 from the floor, while BC went 1-for-8 in the run. The Eagles shot just 16.7 percent in the quarter (2-12) to fall behind, 27-18, at the half.
- The Eagles erased the Clemson with a full-court press and zone defense. BC then hit 14-of-16 free throws in the quarter to keep the game tied after three quarters, 39-39.
- Clemson opened the third quarter on a 6-0 run. After a timeout by Boston College, Georgia Pineau hit a jumper and followed that with a three-pointer from the corner and BC was down just one point, 45-44, with 4:30 to play.
- After a missed jumper by Clemson, Andie Anastos hit a three at the top of the key with 3:39 to play giving BC a 47-45 lead. Thornton ties it after regulation at 47-47.
- Emma Guy sent the game into double-overtime with a half-hook after the two teams traded hoops in the extra time.
- Taylor Ortlepp, who had not scored a field goal all game, hit two three-pointers to open the extra stanza, which gave BC a 61-57 lead with 2:30 to play.
- Clemson scored five straight points off a Thornton layup and a three by Danielle Edwards. After a block by Thornton, BC had the ball with 30 seconds but was called for a travel. Down, 62-61, Clemson had the ball and was fouled to put Jaia Alexander at the line for two. Alexander missed the first, and gave Clemson a 63-61 lead with 26.2 to play. Danielle Edwards hit two free throws in the final seconds to seal the win for Clemson.
