Eagles Host 15 Teams In Invitational At Blue Hills CC

The Boston College women's golf team will compete in the Boston College Intercollegiate with 15 other teams at the Blue Hills Country Club Championship Course in Canton, Mass. BC will tee off on Sunday morning at 8:45 a.m. along with Florida International and Georgetown.
The Eagles opened the 2017-18 season with a 12th place finish at the Ocean Course Invitational in Kiawah Island, S.C. Junior Ailin Li placed 37th at +10 and freshman Bibilani Liu placed 45th overall (+12) in her first collegiate tournament.
During the 2016-17 season, the Eagles won five tournaments, the most since the 2010-11 season. The team scoring average was 75.19.
During the ACC Championship at the Reserve Golf Club in Pawleys Island, S.C. last year, the team finished ninth at +37 with Notre Dame. It was the Eagles best finish at the ACC Championship since BC joined the conference. Senior Jocelyn Chia finished the three-day tournament at +8 (73-75-76) and Li placed 33rd at +11.
BC'S LINEUP
No. 1 - Ailin Li – Junior – Windermere, Fla.
Last year, Li finished 33rd at the ACC Championship while shooting a 74 in the second round. Li placed a season-low eight at the Dartmouth Invitational and had two ninth place finishes. She shot a low-round of 68 in the first round of the Golfweek Program Challenge and was the Eagle's top finisher at Briar's Creek – tied in 33rd.
No. 2 - Bibilani Liu – Freshman – Cupertino, Calif.
At the Ocean Course Invitational this season, Liu finished 45th overall (+12) and second for the Eagles.
No. 3 - Katie Kim – Junior – Riverwoods, Ill.
Last year, Kim played 24 rounds. She finished in ninth place at Weibring with a +7. She had a season low third place finish at the Dartmouth Invitational as she shot a season-low 69 in the first round. Her best finish in the spring was 13th place at the Spring Break Shootout.
No. 4 - Katie Barrand – Senior – Beverly, Mass.
Last year, Barrand played 18 rounds. The senior finished tied in 18th at the Spring Break Shootout as she shot a 71 in the second round. She continued to improve in ACC Tournament play, finishing in 47th last year with a +16. She had a team-high 33 pars.
No. 5 – Jocelyn Chia – Senior – La Crescenta, Calif.
Chia, a senior, was +7 and shot a low round 70 on the first day of play at the Dartmouth Invitational at the Hanover Country Club in 2016-17. At Briar's Creek, Chia placed tied in 49th  and shot a second round 70. She finished 28th at the ACC Championship.
No. 6 – Katelyn Reynolds – Senior – Los Angeles, Calif.
The senior will play as an individual in this event at Blue Hills CC. Reynolds competed in the Spring Break Shootout where the team finished in second overall as a sophomore. As a freshman, the senior finished 69th at the Clemson Invitational at +18. At the Briar's Creek Invitational, she shot a 77-76-77 to finish 73rd overall.
