Speedy forward rounds out Coach York's 2017-18 incoming class
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -Â Speedy forward Jacob Tortora is the fina forward to make his way to The Heights and second from the U.S. National Team Development Program, rounding out Boston College's seven-man 2017-18 incoming class.

The Victor, N.Y. native not only registered 38 points (18-20-38) in 51 games for the U.S. National Under-18 Team in 2016-17, but also hauled in gold at the international level. Tortora helped Team USA capture gold at the U-18 World Junior Championship, accounting for two goals and two assists in seven games played over the course of the tournament.

While with the U.S. National Under-17 Team, the 5-foot-8 forward recorded 31 points (15-16-31) in 50 outings. On the international stage in 2015-16, he registered one goal and four assists in five games for Team USA at the World U-17 Hockey Challenge.

When playing in Toronto before the USNTDP, Tortora accounted for 68 points (31-37-38) with the Don Mills Flyers Midget Minor AAA club and was tabbed MVP of the Greater Toronto Hockey League prospects game. Later that year, he went to become a member of the national team to win a world championship in Slovakia.
