Naumec, Cavaliere Named To All-New England Team

Cavaliere tabbed Rookie of the Year
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Sophomore Matthew Naumec and freshman Christian Cavaliere were both named to the 2017 Division I All-New England Team in voting conducted among the region's head coaches.
Cavaliere was also named the New England Division I Rookie of the Year.
Naumec had five top-5 finishes last year with a pair of victories. His wins came at The Macdonald Cup hosted by Yale (October 1-2) and at the Pizza Hut-Pat Hicks Invitational in Utah (February 13-14). He also tied for first at The Connecticut Cup hosted by UConn (October 10-11) but lost in the playoff. The Eagles won that team event.
Cavaliere posted four top-25 finishes last season with his best performance coming at the Pizza Hut-Pat Hicks Invitational, a third-place finish. He finished 11th in just his third collegiate event at the Janney Invitational (September 19-20) and followed that up with a 15th-place showing at The Connecticut Cup. His other top 25 came in his collegiate debut at the Tiger Intercollegiate (September 4-5). He also led the Eagles at the ACC Championship with a T30 performance.
