New Athletics Director institutes new fan-driven committee focused on game day atmosphere
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Martin Jarmond, the William V. Campbell Director of Athletics at Boston College, has announced a new Fan Council for BC Athletics to assist in enhancing the fan experience at BC home football games.
Â
Jarmond is introducing BC's first fan-driven committee to gain a better understanding of the game day atmosphere at Boston College and to discuss possible areas for improvement. Â
Â
"The Boston College Fan Council is a great way for BC fans to share their experiences, opinions and perspectives, and partner with us to develop recommendations going forward," Jarmond said. "We value our fans' opinions, and look forward to connecting with our fan base on a wide range of game day initiatives."
Â
The main focus of the Fan Council will be to create a dialogue among fans and Boston College Athletics to discuss their experiences on game days at The Heights. Approximately 15-20 individuals will comprise the council, representing different constituents and perspectives. Quarterly meetings will be framed around improving all aspects of the game day experience and creating ideas to increase attendance.
Â
Online applications for all interested fans are now open. (Apply now.) Final selection of the council will take place in July, with the first meeting set for August.
