Naumec Named To PING All-Region Team

Sophomore had five top-5 finishes
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Sophomore Matthew Naumec has been named to the Division I PING All-Northeast Region Team, announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Naumec had five top-5 finishes this year with a pair of victories.
His wins came at The Macdonald Cup hosted by Yale (October 1-2) and at the Pizza Hut-Pat Hicks Invitational in Utah (February 13-14). He also tied for first at The Connecticut Cup hosted by UConn (October 10-11) but lost in the playoff. The Eagles won that team event.
The Wilbraham, Mass., product is currently trying to qualify for the 117th U.S. Open Championship at Erin Hills in Wisconsin. He won the local qualifier at the Crumpin-Fox Club with a -4 (68) as the top three advanced to sectional qualifying.
The sectional qualifier will be held at New Jersey's Canoe Brook Country Club on June 5.
