CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. –
Senior defender Allyson Swaby and red-shirt senior Lauren Berman will serve as captains of the 2017 Boston College women's soccer team as announced by head coach Alison Foley.
The Eagles' new captains were voted on by their teammates.
"We have talked a lot about leadership, commitment and alignment this semester with our team. Both Lauren and Allyson have the values and dedication that is expected in a captain of the Boston College Women Soccer team,'' said Foley. "We have a deep tradition of success and dedication in our program and I know our best years have been guided by our best captains. I feel we have captured these traits in our captains. They live their lives to the highest standards and are true winners on and off the field. Their attitudes are simply contagious. I am very excited about our fall season especially with these two players leading our charge.''
