CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Eleven of Boston College's athletic programs recorded a perfect multi-year Academic Progress Report (APR) score in a report released by the NCAA on Wednesday.
The school's 11 perfect multi-year marks ranks third among FBS institutions, trailing Stanford (14) and Notre Dame (12). Duke (9), Northwestern (9) and Minnesota (9) round out the top six.
The BC teams with perfect APRs in this report included: men's cross country, men's golf, women's golf, women's hockey, lacrosse, men's skiing, women's skiing, men's swimming and diving, women's tennis, men's track and field, and volleyball.
Each year, the NCAA tracks the classroom performance of student-athletes on every Division I team through the annual scorecard of academic achievement, known as APR. The score measures eligibility and retention each semester or quarter, and provides a clear picture of the academic culture in each sport.
The most recent APRs are multi-year rates based on scores from the 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16 academic years.
Among Atlantic Coast Conference programs that sponsor each sport, 10 of BC's teams recorded the conference's highest APR score: men's cross country (1000), field hockey (997), men's golf (1000), women's golf (1000), lacrosse (1000), rowing (997), men's swimming and diving (1000), women's tennis (1000), men's track and field (1000) and volleyball (1000)

Beginning with 2012-13 championships, teams were required to post a minimum 900 four-year average APR or a 930 average over the most recent two years to be eligible to participate.
