SATURDAY'S SPECIAL EVENTS
• Saturday's game is the Pink Game, CWBC Day and Little League Day.
• Fans are encouraged to wear pink to support breast cancer awareness.
• All youth players in attendance will receive a schedule poster and pom-pom while supplies last.
• After the game, the team will hold an autograph session sponsored by The Council for Women of Boston College.
SOARING THROUGH THE SEASON
• The Eagles' 6-2 ACC record ties them for second in the conference. They won two of three games in both each series against Virginia and Pittsburgh and then swept Syracuse.
• BC has won its last four and seven of its last eight games.
• The Eagles won both games against Syracuse on walk-off plays in the eighth inning on Sunday.
• BC has been successful against tough competition, defeating No. 21 Arizona State, 3-2, on Feb. 20.
• Last year's squad earned the No. 4 seed in the ACC, its highest in program history since joining the conference.
• Four pitchers and all but two position players returned from last year's squad.
MATCHING UP WITH LOUISVILLE
• BC is 1-2 all-time against Louisville.
• The Eagles only faced the Cardinals in April 2015. Louisville won the first two games, and BC won the final game, 3-0.
• Louisville ranks fourth in the ACC with a 5-2 league record.
MOUND MOMENTUM
• The Eagles' pitching staff ranks in the top four in the ACC in eight categories: first in batters struck out looking (71), second in opposing batting average (.221), second in fewest hits allowed (181), third in ERA (2.19), third in strikeouts (186), third in wins (21), third in fewest home runs allowed (11) and fourth in fewest walks allowed (79).
• Junior Jessica Dreswick ranks in the top seven in the ACC in seven categories: first in batters struck out looking (40), second in games started (20), third in strikeouts (101), third in opposing batting average (.209), fourth in innings pitched (130.1), fifth in wins (14) and seventh in ERA (2.27).
• Dreswick did not allow a single earned run against two ranked teams: No. 13/14 James Madison and No. 21/22 Arizona State.
• Dreswick, who won ACC Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday, has not allowed an earned run in her last three appearances
• Senior Jordan Weed (39) and sophomore Kendra Friedt (39) rank tied for first in the ACC in fewest hits allowed.
• Weed sits in fifth in opposing batting average (.212) and 10th in ERA (2.41).
• Friedt ranks first in the conference in fewest walks allowed (14), first in fewest runs allowed (14), sixth in fewest home runs allowed (three) and seventh in ERA (2.33).
• BC allowed four runs or fewer in 13 straight games, culminating in the 8-1 win March 8 against Penn.
SPEED DEMONS
• Boston College ranks third in the ACC with 58 stolen bases.
• Sophomore Lexi DiEmmanuele sits in third in the league with 23 stolen bases, putting her 23rd nationally with 0.70 stolen bags per game.
• Senior Taylor Coroneos has stolen 10 bases, and junior Annie Murphy has stolen nine.
CORTEZ CRUSHES IT
• Senior Tatiana Cortez set the program record for career RBI (seven) and tied the team records for career home runs (41) and RBI (142) in a single game in the doubleheader March 8 against Penn and USF.
• Cortez recorded seven RBI against Penn with a grand slam and a three-run home run. Only two other Eagles have recorded a seven-RBI game: Jenna Macchi (March 31 and April 10, 2007) and Tory Speer (May 5, 2011).
• The three-run home run against Penn gave Cortez 142 RBI, tying Speer's career record. Cortez then broke her record with a two-run home run against USF, giving her 137 RBI. Cortez now has 150 RBI.
• Cortez's home run against the Bulls gave her 41 in her career, tying Speer for the program record.
• The Houston native broke BC's all-time career home run record with a solo shot Saturday, March 25 against Pittsburgh, giving her 42 total home runs.
• Cortez earned ACC Player of the Week on March 14 after hitting .500 with three home runs, 14 RBI and a 1.167 slugging percentage the previous week.
• The Westside (Texas) High School product ranks fourth in the ACC in home runs (10) and eighth in slugging percentage (.648).
• Cortez hit four home runs in the season-opening series in her hometown of Houston, including two home runs and in Feb. 11's season-opening win against Houston.
• Cortez's .768 slugging percentage last year broke the record for BC's single-season mark, previously held by Blumfield with .766 in 2002.
STEPPING UP TO THE PLATE
• Junior Jordan Chimento leads the Eagles with a .429 on-base percentage, hitting .343 with three home runs.
• Senior Taylor Coroneos has hit a team-leading .361.
• Four other Eagles have hit .297 or better: junior Annie Murphy (.323), junior Chloe Sharabba (.314), senior Tatiana Cortez (.308) and sophomore Allyson Moore (.297).
• Coroneos has posted 13 multi-hit performances, including three three-hit games.
• Sharabba has an 11-game hit streak, batting .441 with three home runs and five RBI in that span.
