BC HIGHLIGHTS
Boston College earned its first win in the ACC Championship since the team's victory of Virginia Tech in 2013.
BC had four players record hat tricks – Sam Apuzzo, Kate Weeks, Kenzie Kent and Kaileen Hart – for the second time in three games.
Apuzzo guided the offense in the second half, scoring five goals as she finished the game with a team-high six points.
Kent finished the game with four goals and one assist, including a first-half hat trick.
Hart had a four-point day, scoring three goals and assisting on one.
Weeks scored three goals and tied her career high with two assists. She also tied her career highs in draw controls (4) and ground balls (2)
Zoe Ochoa recorded a season-high 11 saves and stopped eight shots in the first half. She also picked up five ground balls.
Dempsey Arsenault tied her career high with two goals. She also recorded four ground balls and caused two turnovers.
Brooke Troy led the Eagles with a career-high five draw controls.

Already leading by three, BC scored five unanswered goals midway through the second half to take an eight-goal lead with 13:52 left to play. Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
Notre Dame opened the game with two goals in the first five minutes.
BC followed with a free-position goal by Kent to get its first goal of the game.
The Irish built a 5-2 lead, but the Eagles countered with five goals in the final 12 minutes of the half to lead 7-5 at the break.
BC and Notre Dame traded off three goals apiece in the first 6:21 in the second half.
BC extended its lead to four as Apuzzo and Arsenault scored 13 seconds apart from each other to make it a 12-8 game.
After Notre Dame got one back, BC's offense ignited, scoring five unanswered goals in 5:22 of play to take a commanding, 17-9 lead with 13:52 remaining in the game.
Notre Dame made a run in the final minutes of the game, scoring five goals, but the Eagles were too far ahead.
