The Boston College women's golf team is tied in ninth place with Virginia at +21 after the second round of the 2017 ACC Women's Golf Championship on Friday afternoon at The Reserve Golf Club at Pawleys Island, South Carolina.
The Eagles will tee off on Saturday at 9:20 a.m. in the second wave along with Louisville and Notre Dame on the 10th hole in the final round of play at the ACC Championship.
Boston College posted a 299 on Friday to drop to ninth place after posting a 298 in the first round.
Duke leads the tournament at -6 (570) after the second round while Clemson is tied with Florida State and UNC in second place at +3. NC State is tied with Miami at +10 followed by Notre Dame in seventh at +19 while Louisville is eighth at +20.
Rookie Lois Kaye Go and sophomore Ailin Li both shot a 74 for the Eagles in the second round. Go birdied 17 and made a long par putt on 18 to post a 74. Li struggled in the front nine but bounced back with an even back nine for a 74. Go is tied in 20th while Li is tied in 33rd overall.
Junior Jocelyn Chia was even after nine and opened the back nine with a birdie on 10. She was hurt by a a tough run on 15, 16 and 17 but parred 18 to finish +3 in the back for a 75. Chia is tied in 29th after two rounds.
Junior Katie Barrand cut three strokes off her first day round as she finished day two with a 76. Sophomore Katie Kim struggled most of the day and was +4 on the front nine and +2 on the back. Barrand and Kim are tied in 47th overall.
ACC Network Extra plans final-round action coverage is set for Saturday from 1 p.m. until the tournament's conclusion. Mac McDonald will handle the play-by-play, with former UNC and LPGA standout Donna Andrews serving as analyst.
