HOW IT HAPPENED
- BU took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second. Alexa Ponce singled to right and advanced to second off a wild pitch. Emily Morrow hit a shot to third base, and a scoring error on the play pushed Ponce home.
- Sophomore Dani Thomas, Coroneos and Murphy hit three straight singles with one out in the fifth. Junior Chloe Sharabba put the ball in play, and BU forced Thomas out at home. However, that set up Cortez's two-run single with the bases loaded.
- DiEmmanuele added an insurance run in the sixth. The outfielder hit a triple to deep right and then scored on a wild pitch.
