BC HIGHLIGHTS
- Senior Taylor Coroneos went 3-for-4 with three runs, one RBI and two stolen bases. She elevated her batting average to .397.
- Freshman Brenna Griesser scored three runs.

TURNING POINT
With the score tied, 2-2, in the bottom of the second, Griesser – pinch running for junior Annie Murphy – stood on third. Coroneos then reached on the shortstop's error, scoring Griesser to give the Eagles the 3-2 lead.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Coroneos led off the first inning with a single down the left field line. She stole second and advanced to third on a passed ball. Sophomore Lexi DiEmmanuele walked and then stole her 15th base of the season. On another passed ball, Coroneos scored and DiEmmanuele advanced to third. Junior Jordan Chimento then singled to right to score DiEmmanuele for BC's 2-0 lead.
- Mercer tied the score, 2-2, with RBI singles from Caroline Taylor and Shaila Warren in the second.
- Murphy hit a leadoff double in the bottom of the second. Griesser pinch ran for her. Sophomore Dani Thomas recorded a sacrifice bunt to advance Griesser to third. Then Coroneos reached on the shortstop's error to score Griesser for BC's 3-2 lead. The Eagles led the rest of the game.
- Griesser walked in the fourth. Then Thomas reached on the first baseman's error and went to second as Griesser ran to third. Senior Madison Paulson flied out to centerfield, allowing Griesser to score and make it 4-2.
- Coroneos singled in the fifth and advanced to second off DiEmmanuele's sacrifice grounder. Senior Tatiana Cortez posted an RBI double to give BC the 5-2 advantage.
- Moore led off the sixth with a single. Freshman Olivia Markopoulos pinch ran for her. Griesser followed with a single to first. Thomas reached on the catcher's throwing error and advanced to third on the right fielder's error on the same play, clearing the bases and giving BC a 7-2 lead.
- BC added another run in the inning for an 8-2 lead. Freshman Megan Overton pinch ran for Thomas on third. Coroneos singled to shortstop put runners at the corners. Coroneos then advanced to second, but Overton was caught stealing home. DiEmmanuele then singled and reached second on the catcher's throwing error, allowing Coroneos to score her third run.
- Mercer built a mini rally in the top of the seventh to make it 8-4. The Bears loaded the bases with two singles and a walk. Then Quirisa Mauga hit the ball in play, and junior Chloe Sharabba threw Meghan Rud out at home. Abby Walsh singled through the right to score Taylor Miller and make it 8-3. Then Rodriguez walked to score Lane.
- Then BC recorded the final out, with Sharabba tossing the ball to Paulson to get Maxine Rodriguez out at second.
UP NEXT
The Eagles will play a doubleheader in Tampa, Fla., on Wednesday against Pennsylvania at 2:30 p.m. and South Florida at 5:30 p.m.
