WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Boston College senior defenseman Scott Savage was honored as a Hockey East Third Team All-Star as was classmate Austin Cangelosi, who was tabbed Hockey East's Best Defensive Forward on Wednesday, March 15. First-year goaltender Joseph Woll earned Hockey East Honorable Mention All-Star status at the annual postseason banquet at the Royal Sonesta on Thursday in addition to his All-Rookie Team honor that was bestowed on Wednesday.

Savage earned a spot on Hockey East's Third Team following a sterling senior season. The San Clemente, Calif. native posted career highs in points (20), goals (5) and assists (15) and closed out the regular season with a +13 rating.

Amongst other defensemen in Hockey East, Savage finished in a tie for sixth (Jake Walman – Providence) in scoring, averaging 0.66 points per game.

Cangelosi joined Savage as a Hockey East Third Team All-Star after collecting a league honor (Best Defensive Forward) on Wednesday morning. The Estero, Fla. native is one of two players in all of college hockey the last two seasons to have scored 20-plus goals in each of the last two seasons (Austin Ortega – Omaha). Cangelosi was listed as a Hockey East honorable mention last year.

Woll picks up his second honor and named the backstopper of the Hockey East Honorable Mention All-Stars. On Wednesday, the St. Louis native was one of two goaltenders (Jake Oettinger – Boston University) to earn a spot on the Hockey East All-Rookie Team after turning in a .913 save percentage, sixth overall in Hockey East, alongside a 2.61 goals against average (sixth in league play).
