No. 17 Boston College (0-0, 0-0) travels to Holy Cross (0-0, 0-0) on Saturday to open the 2107 season. The Eagles finished last season 10-9, while earning a berth in the NCAA tournament for the fourth consecutive season. The team graduated its top two scorers in 2016 and will look to replicate their production.

Holy Cross finished the 2016 season with an overall 3-14 record. After losing top scorer Kaitlin Concilio last season, the Crusaders look to their returning roster to fill her roll. Holy Cross will try to snap a three-game losing streak on season opening games against the Eagles.

Need to Know:

Boston College has been victorious in its last seven season opening games, with the last loss coming from Maryland in 2008.
Senior attack Kate Weeks is the top scorer returning from last year's roster. Weeks finished the 2016 season with 45 points, including a team-high 43 goals.
Senior goalkeeper Zoe Ochoa will continue to protect the net as she will be starting her 43rd straight game for the Eagles. She is currently eighth all-time in saves with 250.
Boston College will look to replace four starters in its lineup, including Tewaarton Award nominee Sarah Mannelly and Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American Caroline Margolis.
