How It Happened:

BC connected on 11-of-16 from beyond the arc in the first half, led by Chatman and Bowman's 15 points apiece. Â The Blue Devils led for much of the way in the first half before back-to-back treys from Nik Popovic and Robinson made it 28-26 with 7:17 remaining. Â Duke led 36-35 with 4:10 to go before a 13-3 Boston College run, capped by a Bowman layup, made it 48-39 with 23 seconds left. Â The Eagles would take a 48-41 lead at the break.
Chatman opened up the second half with his fifth 3-pointer of the day to increase the Eagles' lead to 51-41. A 17-7 Blue Devils run tied the game at 58-58 with 12:29 to go. Â But the Eagles did not back down, answering with a Popovic layup on the very next possession. Â
Trailing by four - 79-75 - with 3:31 to play, Boston College had its finest stretch of the game during winning time. Â A 10-2 run, started by back-to-back treys from Robinson and capped by free throws from Bowman and Chatman gave BC an 85-81 advantage - and the ball - after an intentional foul was whistled with 15 seconds to play.
