Harris Named ACC Co-Defensive Back of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College junior strong safety Will Harris has been named the ACC Co-Defensive Back of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. It marked the first time in Harris' career he earned the weekly accolade from the ACC.

Harris was all over the field Saturday in BC's 42-14 rout of Syracuse in the Carrier Dome. Harris totaled seven tackles, recovered two fumbles and scored his first career touchdown on a 30-yard fumble return in the win.

He recovered a lateral and returned the fumble 30 yards for his first touchdown of his career. It was the third non-offensive touchdown scored by BC this season.

Harris also recovered a fumble in the fourth quarter caused by senior linebacker Ty Schwab. It was the fourth recovery for Harris this season and the first forced fumble of Schwab's career.

Boston College will play in its fourth bowl game in five years under head coach Steve Addazio in December. The official announcement of the bowl game and opponent will be Sunday, December 3.
