Taylor Ortlepp's 21 Points Leads Eagles Past Houston

Three players hit double-figures in the Eagles third win of the season.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Sophomore guard Taylor Ortlepp netted a career-high 21 points as the Boston College handed Houston a 79-74 loss Wednesday evening at Conte Forum.
Trailing by one after a 10-0 Houston run midway through the fourth quarter, Ortlepp broke up the scoreless stretch, knocking down a jumper to re-gain the lead. Moments later, freshman Milan Bolden-Morris drained a two-point jumper to ignite an 8-0 and put the game out of reach for the Cougars, 70-63.
Boston College improves to 3-2 on the season, while Houston drops back to .500 at 2-2.
The Eagles shot 87.5 percent from the free throw line in the game and went 12-for-12 in the final quarter. BC also won the battle of the boards, 47-40.

- Milan Bolden-Morris opened the game scoring seven of the Eagles first nine points, and dished to Sydney Lowery to give the Eagles the 9-2 lead to begin the game.
- Midway through the second period, Martina Mosetti gave the Eagles their largest lead of the game, 26-16, for Boston College's fourth three of the game.
- Lowery broke up a 7-0 Houston run, knocking down a pair of free throws to extend the lead to five, 28-23.
- Taylor Ortlepp sent the Eagles into halftime with six-point lead, 32-26, draining their fifth three of the half.
- Bolden-Morris capped off a 15-6 knocking down a long-range jumper from the far-side corner to give the Eagles their largest lead of the game, 55-44, late in the third.
- After Houston took a one-point lead midway at 4:59, Ortlepp re-gained the lead for the Eagles with a jumper to ignite a two-minute, 8-0 run.

- The Eagles outscored the Cougars, 17-11, in the last 4:50.
