Sam Coffey Honored By The ACC

Coffey earns All-ACC Third Team and All-Freshmen Team honors
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College women's soccer rookie Sam Coffey was named to the 2017 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Third Team as well as the All-Freshmen Team, the league announced on Thursday.
Coffey, a native of Sleepy Hollow, New York, led the Eagles in scoring with five goals, 10 assists for 20 points.
The Eagles midfielder started all 20 games and finished the regular season with a goal or assist in the last four contests. She scored a goal or had an assist in 10 games. She had two or more assists in three matches and scored her first collegiate goal against Colgate on Aug. 27. She also had three assists in that victory.
Coffey led the team in shots and shots on goal. She was third on the team in minutes played. Coffey is the first rookie since 2009 to lead the team in scoring.
Boston College is now awaiting the NCAA Tournament Show which will air on Monday at 7 p.m. The Eagles are 10-9-1 with an RPI of 52.
