GOAL DESCRIPTIONS
FIRST GOAL (1-0 – New Hampshire) FIRST PERIOD – Chris Miller – 4:30 – EVEN STRENGTH
• New Hampshire drew first blood by turning a puck up from Boston College's zone and going end to end in the early goings. Ara Mazarian wrestled the puck away from Connor Moore and managed to get a good look at Joseph Woll. The initial stop was made but it caromed out to Chris Miller in between the circles and the right winger was able to put it past Woll blocker side at 4:30 of the first period for a 1-0 UNH lead.
Â
SECOND GOAL (1-1 – Boston College) SECOND PERIOD – David Cotton – 1:49 – EVEN STRENGTH
• Boston College came storming out of the chute to start the second period as David Cotton tied things up at 1:49. Jacob Tortora generated the play, skating the puck into the zone and wheeling it around the net. UNH's defense shifted over and Tortora threw the puck at the goalmouth. The puck bounced off of Julius Mattila's skate and out to Cotton in the low right circle. Before Danny Tirone could read the rebound, Cotton had it in the back of the net to knot it up, 1-1.
Â
THIRD GOAL (2-1 – New Hampshire) SECOND PERIOD – Eric MacAdams – 7:30 – EVEN STRENGTH
• The Wildcats regained their advantage after stopping the Eagles up high in UNH's zone. Eric MacAdams wriggled the puck loose near the blue line and was off to the races with a two-on-one man advantage. MacAdams faked the pass left, made a quick move on the right dot and wristed it past Woll at 7:30 for the 2-1 UNH lead.
Â
FOURTH GOAL (2-2 – Boston College) SECOND PERIOD – Michael Kim – 9:31 – POWER PLAY
• New Hampshire's Richard Boyd sat for an elbow shortly after McAdams's goal at 8:34 and Michael Kim cashed in 57 seconds later. JD Dudek sent the puck from the half up to Casey Fitzgerald atop the left circle. Fitzgerald stepped into it and perfectly faked the slapshot and opted to Kim for the one-timer on the opposite side. Kim got 100% of the rubber and hammered the slapshot to the back of the net past Tirone at 9:31 to tie it back up, 2-2, on the power play.
Â
FIFTH GOAL (3-2 – Boston College) THIRD PERIOD – Michael Kim – 8:21 – EVEN STRENGTH
• Kim accounted for his second goal of the game and Boston College's first lead at 8:21 of the third frame. Christopher Grando won a faceoff to Tirone's left and Logan Hutsko fired off a shot from the draw, banking it off of a Wildcat's stick. The puck quickly jutted to the left dot while Tirone was still guarding the other side and Kim raced to the disc and immediately tossed it to the back of the open net at 8:21 to put the Eagles ahead late, 3-2.
