Eagles sink Connecticut in double-overtime, 3-2
Newton, Mass. - Sophomore Callum Johnson scored in the 104th minute to lead the Boston College men's soccer team to a 3-2 double-overtime victory over non-conference foe Connecticut on Tuesday night at the Newton Soccer Field.
Boston College improved to 6-8-0, while UConn dropped to 7-4-2.
The Eagles mounted a comeback late in the second half after UConn went up 2-0 in the 77th minute of play. BC junior Simon Enstrom countered three minutes later to cut into the Connecticut lead. Enstrom took a through ball from Johnson into the box and sent a shot from 10 yards out into the far post to get the Eagles on the board.
