- Boston College shot 50 percent in the first quarter. It was turnovers that hurt BC as the Eagles had 10 turnovers in the quarter. BC was buoyed by two three's from Kelly Hughes.
- Â The Eagles cut the lead to two points on a jumper by Kailey Edwards with 4:20 to play in the second quarter. Cuse shot back on a three by Gabby Cooper, 30-25, with four to play. Three straight hoops by Mariella Fasoula cut the Cuse lead to one point with 1:44 to play. Two freebies by Brittney Sykes pushed the lead to four points with 1:09 to play.
- At the half, BC was shooting 48.3 percent while Syracuse was at 43.8 percent. The Eagles were hurt by the 16 turnovers. Both teams had 17 rebounds at the hallway mark.
- A 13-7 run by Syracuse pushed the Orange lead to 49-38 five minutes into the third quarter. Cuse hit two three's in the run. BC was outscored 27-9 in the quarter and shot just 28 percent in the quarter.
- The Eagles battled to cut into the lead but the two teams exchanged three's. Cuse took control of the pace of the game to keep the Eagles from making a comeback.
