HOW IT HAPPENED
- Boston College held a 12-11 lead after one quarter behind seven points from Kelly Hughes and five from Taylor Ortlepp. BC shot just 27.3 percent in the quarter but went 5-for-5 from the foul line.
- The Eagles held a 23-20 lead with 5:47 after Ortlepp hit her second three of the game. BC stayed aggressive as the Eagles hit five free throws, including three at the end of the half from Kailey Edwards. At the half, BC was 10-for-10 from the foul line and down, 29-28.
- Hughes opened the third quarter with her 301st three-pointer to give the Eagles a 31-29 lead. After two freebies by Mariella Fasoula, Duke went on a 9-0 run to go up, 40-35, with 4:18 to play. That run turned into a 21-2 run and the Blue Devils led, 52-37, after three quarters.
- Boston College struggled to stop Duke as the Blue Devils opened the fourth quarter on a 13-0, run. Fasoula scored the Eagles first field goal with just over three minutes to play with BC down, 65-39.

- Â Kelly Hughes hit her 300th career three-pointer five minutes into the game. Her second three came to open up the second half. With 301 three-pointers, Hughes is now the all-time leader in three's made, male or female.
- Taylor Ortlepp started her second consecutive game at point guard for the Eagles. BC has now started two rookies in the starting lineup in seven games.
