One of two goaltenders on this year's incoming class, the Minnesota native looks to bolster the goaltending position and fill the void left behind from Thatcher Demko
One of two goaltenders to join the Eagles in 2016-17, Ryan Edquist brings his pads from the Madison Capitals of the United States Hockey League.

The Lakeville, Minn., native posted a .906 save percentage with a 3.02 goals against average for Madison and was tabbed to the USHL All-Rookie Team last year. In his second start of the season, Edquist shutout his opponent on Oct. 10, 2015 via 40 saves and was named the USHL Goaltender of the Week for his performance.

The 6-foot-0 backstopper also played in the CCM / USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game alongside incoming freshman Luke McInnis last year.
In his interscholastic career, Edquist anchored Lakeville North High School to the Minnesota State High School championship, with a flawless 31-0 record. Edquist played in 23 of those contests, and posted a 1.43 GAA and a .937 save percentage. That season, Edquist was named to the South Suburban All-Conference Team after breaking every goaltending record in Lakeville North history.
