Teams are set for Saturday's Jay McGillis Memorial Spring Game
Friday morning, the Boston College football made their final preparations for Saturday's Jay McGillis Memorial Spring Game.Â
Formal practice had already ended on Thursday, but one last detail was necessary for the Eagles to head into Saturday's game fully set: team rosters.Â
Bypassing a more traditional offense-defense spring game set-up, head coach Steve Addazio instead decided to let his players enjoy the fruits of their spring work and just have fun on Saturday. To that end, he and his staff set up a draft - a Pro-Bowl style draft - to determine teams for Saturday's final game.Â
Two of the Eagles' injured players - seniors Mike Giacone and Kevin Kavalec - served as general managers of Maroon (Giacone) and Gold (Kavalec). Together with the split-up staff, the seniors selected the squads that will match-up on Alumni Stadium at noon on Saturday.Â
