- Sophomore Mariella Fasoula had 18 points while senior Kelly Hughes chipped in with 15 points.
- Senior Kelly Hughes notched 15 points, had three assists and three boards.
- Graduate senior Kailey Edwards had 12 first half points, which gave her 1,000 career collegiate points. She finished with 12 points in her new BC career-high 26 minutes of playing time.
- Junior guard Martina Mosetti had a season-high seven assists and just one turnover in 30 minutes of action.
- BC shot 52 percent from the floor in the game and 75 percent in the final quarter.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Boston College took a quick 22-7 lead behind the inside game of Mariella Fasoula. The Eagles center scored nine first quarter. BC shot 66.7 percent from the floor while holding Providence to just 25 percent from the floor.
- BC continued its hot shooting to start the second quarter and extended the lead to 20 points at 6:27 to play in the quarter, 27-7. Providence made a run at the end of the quarter on an 11-2 run to cut the BC lead, 35-26. Fasoula had 11 at the half, while Kailey Edwards had 12 to lead BC.
- Boston College struggled offensively in the quarter as Providence went on a 16-2 run which started in the second quarter. The Friars opened the third quarter on an 8-0 run before Kelly Hughes stopped the run with a layup at 6:01. BC was up by three points, 37-34. BC only scored five points in the final six minutes as Providence tied the game at 42-42 on a three-point by Clara Che at the buzzer.
- Providence took the lead for the first time in the game on a three-pointer at 7:27 in the final quarter – 45-44.  The Eagles responded with five straight points and held a 51-47 lead with 4:40 to play. A Hughes layup gave BC a 55-49 lead with 3:49 to play. The Eagles again went cold and Providence chipped away at the lead. Botteghi hit a three with 38.4 to play to cut the lead to three points. After missed layup by Fasoula, Providence has the ball with 16.1 to play and down three. A moving screen was called on Providence and BC retained possession with 8.8 to play. Hughes was fouled and hit one free throw to seal the win.
