Eagles Host Penn State in ACC-Big Ten Challenge

The Game
- Boston College will host Penn State for the second time in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge. The Eagles and Nittany Lions will play on Wed., Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. at Conte Forum.
- BC and Penn State last played on Dec. 2, 2010. The Eagles defeated the Nittany Lions, 113-104, in overtime as former guard Jaclyn Thoman '10 had a career-high 25 points.
- This is the fourth game between BC and Penn State. The two teams first played on Dec. 29, 1984 at Penn State. The Nittany Lions defeated BC, 85-43.
- In the 2015 Challenge, BC defeated (RV) Purdue, 58-56, on the road on Dec. 3. Nicole Boudreau drilled a 3-pointer with 7.4 seconds to play for the win. Mariella Fasoula scored nine of her season-high 23 points in the fourth quarter to pace the Eagles offense. It is the Eagles first win over Purdue in four attempts. It was also BC's first win in the Challenge since the 2010 season.
- The Eagles are now 3-5 in the Challenge.
- In 2014, Indiana defeated BC, 76-67, at Conte Forum. Boston College was led by Kelly Hughes with 10 points and eight rebounds while Nicole Boudreau had nine points, five rebounds and five assists. Indiana was led by Tyra Buss with 24 points.
- Six games of the ACC-Big Ten Challenge will be played on Wednesday, Dec. 2 and eight games on Thursday, Dec. 3. The ACC owns a 62-46 edge over the Big Ten in Challenge games and has won six Challenge titles (6-0-3).

- The Eagles have started one senior, two sophomores and two freshmen in the first two games of the season. This is the youngest starting lineup since the 2011-12 season when BC started four sophomores and a junior.
- Graduate student Kailey Edwards needs 126 points to reach 1,000 career points (which includes her points while at Denver). Edwards returned to the lineup in her home state of Colorado this past weekend. She averaged 28.5 minutes, 6.0 points and 3.0 rebounds a game.
- Junior guard Martina Mosetti had four assists at Seton Hall which pushed her over the 200 career plateau. She now has 22, averaging a team-high 3.67 a game.
- Sophomore Mariella Fasoula is just seven points away from reaching the 500 career mark.
- Senior Emilee Daley returned to the lineup for the Eagles. She played a season-high 13 minutes vs. St. Mary's (Calif.) Daley averaged 21.5 minutes per game over the last two games. She scored 15 points and grabbed six boards with a team-high seven assists.
