TURNING POINT
Jon Bakero scored in the 19th minute which proved to be the only goal of the match.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wake Forest had a 13-6 advantage in shots in the first half. It took five of the first six shots, then after a couple of BC attempts, scored the lone goal of the match in the 19th minute.
- Bakero got behind the Boston College back line and then beat Saladin to make it a 1-0 Demon Deacon lead.
- Sophomore Simon Enstrom and freshman Younes Boudadi both had shots on net before the end of the half but the Wake keeper stopped both.
- The Eagles earned a 7-1 advantage in shots in the second half but couldn't find the equalizer. Senior Zeiko Lewis took three of those shots.
